Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. The first Broadway performances comprise Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. In the musical, Hair. In March of 2023 Ashford is scheduled to return to Broadway as a co-star with Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will direct the production. Ashford previously starred as Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment that is based upon the crisis in America that picked up Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the country's first impeachment proceedings in over a century. For two seasons, she was a star of CBS's hit comedy B Positive. It was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also featured Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen. She has also appeared in Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first role as Lauren on Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for an Tony Award. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and currently splits her life between Los Angeles, and New York.
